Bliss Conscious Communication by Happy and You!

Dear Truly Amazing,

We Love Life and We Love You! Thank You for blissing us so deeply and exquisitely in myriad marvel-us ways. What are you grateful for today? We open our arms and hearts, embracing you with gladitude. Special thank you for reaching out to us so kindly and compassionately over the last several months.

We really got to know who are friends are this year. Our real friends showed up – THANK YOU! – after our house fire to show support and celebrate the new mystery of creation as we envisioned our new retreat. We look forward to welcoming you to Heaven on Earth. Whenever someone asks, Where do you live?”, we chime out, “Heaven on Earth!”  because it is. So, treasured friend, that is precisely the new name of our new retreat. We invite you to consider visiting us sometime in 2015 when you are passing through the Southwest.

Uncivilized Ecstasies by Happy Oasis

Did you know that Heaven on Earth is mid-way between L.A. and Santa Fe? It’s true. From Sedona to Los Angeles the shortest route is to drive via Hwy 89 just a mile from Heaven on Earth.

Alternatively, an adorable little airport lives just ten minutes from our boutique retreat with a small-plane daily flight from L.A. and another from Denver.

The best months to visit are April, May, August, September and October.

The least best month is the dusty month of June.

Please be sure to let us know you are coming well in advance at 928.308.2146 or happy@happyoasis.com. Hot off the press!  Dashing, new, expanded editions of Bliss Conscious Communication and uncivilized ecstasies, are now available. A few luscious spring retreats are in the imaginarium. Stellar concerts are on the horizon, and some sweet surprises are bubbling up for the debut season at Heaven on Earth. For example, do you love watching uplifting films al fresco at night in the hammock, pool or hot tub or on the beach beneath the trees, cliffs & stars?

Since the now historic Happy Oasis Retreat went up in flames, we’ve been envisioning and gladly sculpting a new state-of-the-art eco paradise with the eyes of artists.

This food forest is surrounded by new edible blue rye lawns amidst colorful butterfly gardens, daring decks, striking seasonal waterfalls, olde worlde fountains, enormous trees, curvacious fairytale flagstones composing winding walk ways, and hundreds of miles of world class hiking trails.

Heaven on Earth is situated in a virtually unknown, summer season rainforest, located a refreshing mile high, inside a labyrinth of verdant canyons, rivers, lakes, meadows and waterfalls in Arizona’s secret shangri la. Fragrant floral gardens cozy up to cliffs and giant boulders attracting diverse, endearing wildlife such as these three racoons who adopted us. Can you find two of the racoons, Resplendent and Rambunctious, hidden in a the above photo between two boulders atop one of many new garden beds?

Heaven on Earth has expanded as our next door neighbor generously nearly gifted us their wild lands this summer. The new land includes these ancient boulder mountains and the view down to into our canyon from the top.

Can you see my Joy Called Johnny being joyful in the hot tub beside the pool below? From the mountain top, also enjoy breath-making 360 degree national park-like vistas in the gorgeous Granite Dells, thousands of acres of rugged yet friendly granitic mountains and verdant valleys that surround us.

The Granite Dells is a wild life refuge hosting mountain lions, deer, elk, porcupines, lynxes, ring tailed cats, coyotes, and fabulous flocks of birds. We live a short and spectacular hike or bike from Lake Magnificent, this motor-free, thus serene and surreal lake enjoyed by rock climbers, spelunkers, hikers, kayakers, sailors, cyclists, swimmers, kayakers, and windsurfers. Beyond about the lake’s 50 rocky islands, the other end of the lake is often rimmed with sandy beaches, floribundant meadows, and an extensive estuary or swampland home to thousands of birds.

It’s designated as a top Audubon bird migration biozone and birdwatchers’ paradise.

We love inflatable kayaking down Prescott’s little known, yet very sweet Granite Creek, alongside tens of thousands of crawdads, all of us traveling toward one of the Audubon Society’s top-rated estuaries in the nation, Prescott’s Lake Magnificent (commonly called Watson Lake).

We especially love to sail, kayak and windsurf on an Aquaglide Multisport, which feels like an unbelievably cozy inflatable bed with a sail.

Flannel pyjamas are required for sailing or windsurfing on our “Bed Boat” in the winter months.

There is no need to get out of bed to go sailing!

And, you can easily tie up to a tree or rock for a picnic or slumber party beneath the stars. Please let me know if you are interested in trying or buying one of these incredibly affordable floating miracles. We think they are so much good fun that we are becoming the area distributors.

Record monsoon rains – 30 inches during the 3 months of summer – July, August and September – officially qualify our verdant canyon lands as a seasonal rainforest

It’s a jungly heaven on earth, especially when waterfalls are bursting off the sides of the cliffs in all directions falling directly into the canyon cliff-rimmed pond and stream behind these chairs. The chair on the above right became completely overgrown with grape vines by the end of the summer.

While awaiting permission to build, I joined the Yavapai College Gospel Choir.

It’s been a life long dream to sing soul music with talented friends. I am loving Conversational Chinese, Spanish, Thai, art and dance classes at Prescott’s outstanding community college and heartily recommend going back to school!

We are sharing poetry and music again at open mike nights and also joined a spirited singing, drumming and dancing troupe from Senegal. Humble Prescott is annually rated as one of the top towns in the USA to retire to due to it’s unusually well-rounded quality of life. It’s easy to live here with much to explore and enjoy, yet there are no large highways packed with traffic = clean air.

Prescott is surrounded by the largest ponderosa pine forest on earth = extremely clean air continuously cleansed by millions of acres of treeclad rolling mountains in all directions. If you like going out at night, everything is either a walk, a bicycle ride or a 10 minute drive away.

Prescott’s downtown square features different kinds of music and dancing on the lawn beneath the trees on most summer nights.

Prescott College’s free weekly community lunch provides a meeting place for folks to gather together to announce and hear what’s happening each week. In addition, ongoingopen mike poetry readings, campfire sing-a-longs beneath the stars, drumming circles and dances of all kinds, meditation & peaceful martial arts groups, a diversity of yoga studios, sailing and kayaking clubs, music club, herbalists clubs, adventure hiking clubs, birdwatching groups meet each week…

Prescott’s Organic Farmers Market is year round and one of Arizona’s tastiest. Since the vast majority of the land in Arizona is managed by the National Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Native Nations… we live surrounded by wilderness. Vast wilderness. Millions and millions of acres. Thus, Arizona is particularly healthful in regards to food. To conserve water, Prescott, Arizona has discouraged commercial farming; thus, there is no contamination to our many charming little organic farms, so our local organic farmers’ produce is happily GMO free.

Now that winter is in the air, let’s get together on Maui  Dec 5 – 21 or join us in Montezuma, Costa Rica in Jan and Feb.

May you enjoy every drop of golden peace flowing through the blue sky air.

Thank you so much for blessing our lives as you do. Waz up with you? Looking forward to hearing from you too!

Love is the greatest gift,
